Cecilia Hercik brings over 25 years of experience in resort and spa openings, both nationally and internationally, and has an extensive background in spa management and hospitality operations. She has worked for such companies as the Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Aveda-Neill Corporation, Waldorf Astoria Resorts, WTS International Spa Consulting, Four Seasons Resorts, and The Destination Spa at Miraval Resorts. She is also certified by the Global College of Natural Medicine as a Nutritionist Consultant.
Cecilia has directed and operated spas both large and small, and has an extremely well-rounded approach to all aspects within the spa industry, both old and new. Cecilia owned Olavine Spa & Salon and was also Managing Director of C-Spa Consulting.

Monique Jutila’s 27-year history in the fitness industry began on Maui in 1990, teaching group fitness and personal training. Since then, Monique has obtained multiple certifications through the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and the American Council on Exercise (ACE); she is a licensed massage therapist and taught Sports Massage and Structural Kinesiology at the Maui Academy of Healing Arts, along with being certified in all levels of Stott Pilates. Monique holds a BS in Exercise Science and Wellness, owned and operated Element Pilates Studios in Seattle for 4 years, then after over 6 years of Hotel and Spa Management experience, she opened Fluid Motion Maui, Pilates & Fitness in Kihei, HI.

Darryl Leiman boasts over 27 years of spa experience, beginning his journey within the spa industry at the Golden Door Health Resort in Escondido, California. He became the Director of Golden Door Spa at Sea, and after five years decided to make his way to Maui, Hawaii, opening the famous Spa Grande as Spa Director at the Grand Wailea Resort, called the Grand Hyatt Wailea at the time.
Darryll Leiman would later find himself moving onto the Mandara Spa, then Canyon Ranch, finally returning to Mandara Spa as the Regional Vice President, where he continues today in Honolulu, HI.

Shawn Hallum brings to Hi-Spa a staggering amount of invaluable information and guidance, accumulated from more than 20 years of experience within the Health & Wellness Industry. Academically, Shawn holds a Master's Degree in Complementary Alternative Medicine and undergraduate degrees in Sports Management and Business Ddministration. He also received a massage license in 2005 and has been a certified personal trainer since 2008. Professionally, Shawn currently serves as professor and program chair for American College of Healthcare Sciences and runs a successful coaching business specializing in Energy Leadership.

New to the Hi Spa board in 2019, Jennifer brings 10 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry. Holding licenses as both a massage therapist and esthetician, Jennifer’s passion for health and wellness began with a private practice that transitioned into hospitality and spa management with Marriott and Ritz-Carlton where she sat on the advisory board overseeing several west coast properties. She has been fortunate to open numerous new spas across the country and lead teams in beautiful destinations such as Denver CO, and Lake Tahoe CA before calling Maui home in 2016.
